The Effect of Parental Involvement and Friendship Relationships on Students' Academic Achievement in Junior High Schools in Indonesia

Education in Indonesia is vital to societal progress, impacting individual growth and national development. This study investigates the relationship between parental involvement, friendship relationships, and academic achievement in Indonesian junior high schools. A quantitative research design was used to collect data from 800 students, including surveys and academic records. The results indicate a positive correlation between parental involvement and academic achievement, as well as between friendship relationships and academic achievement. Regression analysis confirms that parental involvement and friendship relationships are significant predictors of academic achievement. Moreover, mediation analysis reveals that positive friendship relationships mediate a portion of the effect of parental involvement on academic achievement. This study underscores the importance of parental involvement and the role of peer relationships in shaping academic success in the Indonesian context. The findings have implications for parents, educators, and policymakers, suggesting that fostering both family and peer support systems is crucial to enhancing educational outcomes.

The environment holds paramount significance in sustaining healthy living conditions and the continuity of life on our planet. Hosting diverse species and furnishing vital resources like sustenance, air, water, and more, demands the collective responsibility of each individual to conserve and safeguard them. The implementation of environmental law, particularly concerning hazardous and toxic industrial waste, is crucial for safeguarding human welfare and the environment. Such waste, classified as dangerous and harmful due to its potential to pollute and adversely affect ecosystems, necessitates stringent regulation. In Indonesia, the management of hazardous and toxic waste is guided by a comprehensive framework that encompasses clear regulations, ecological permits, vigilant oversight, robust legal penalties, efficient enforcement, and community involvement. The primary legal foundation is Law Number 32 of 2009, focused on Environmental Protection and Management, supplemented by Government Regulation Number 101 of 2014, which specifically addresses hazardous and toxic waste management. These legal measures are designed to ensure compliance by industrial entities, prompting responsible waste disposal to safeguard public health and the environment.

The Effect of Emotional Intelligence and Academic Load on Mental Health in Students at High School

This quantitative study investigated the relationship between emotional intelligence, academic load, and mental health in a sample of 500 high school students aged 14 to 18 years. The study also sought to explore whether emotional intelligence moderates the impact of academic load on mental health. Participants completed self-reports assessing emotional intelligence, academic load, and mental health using the DASS-21. Data were analyzed through correlation and regression analysis. The study revealed a significant negative correlation between emotional intelligence and mental health, indicating that higher emotional intelligence is associated with better mental health outcomes. In contrast, academic load showed a positive correlation with mental health, indicating that heavier academic load is associated with greater mental health problems. Multiple regression analysis confirmed the significance of emotional intelligence and academic load as predictors of mental health. In addition, the interaction between emotional intelligence and academic load was also significant, indicating that emotional intelligence moderates the relationship between academic load and mental health.

The Effect of Online Learning on Student Achievement in Elementary Schools in Indonesia

The integration of online learning into the educational landscape has reshaped the way elementary school students in Indonesia access and engage with educational content. This study sought to investigate the effect of online learning on student achievement in Indonesian elementary schools through a quantitative analysis. A sample of 500 students from diverse regions in Indonesia was examined, with data collected on student achievement, online learning habits, access to digital devices, and the quality of online learning materials. The results revealed positive relationships between time spent on online learning and both grade point averages (GPA) and standardized test scores. Access to digital devices was significantly associated with higher academic performance. Moreover, the perceived quality of online learning materials was positively correlated with student achievement. These findings underline the potential of online learning as an effective educational tool, provided that students have equitable access to technology and high-quality resources. The implications of this research extend to educators, policymakers, and parents, highlighting the importance of investing in online learning resources, bridging the digital divide, and supporting students in their online learning endeavors.

Maintaining their profession’s ethics, authority, dignity, and honor is imperative for mediators, while loyalty to and enforcement of the Mediator Code of Ethics is essential. The Honorary Council oversees compliance with the Code of Ethics, thereby ensuring reasonable control and benefiting both members and the broader community. Maintaining fairness and transparency in law enforcement is indispensable for upholding societal justice. As neutral facilitators in dispute resolution, Mediators play a crucial role in helping parties reach mutually advantageous agreements. Nevertheless, practical challenges arise as mediators sometimes transgress the code of ethics, eroding the sanctity of the law enforcement process.

Through in-depth interview analysis and content analysis of travelers' narratives, four main themes of travelers' motivations were identified: cultural and historical exploration, adventure and nature exploration, the search for relaxation and tranquility, and culinary and gastronomic experiences. The findings provide an in-depth picture of the complexity of traveler motivations, which are influenced by social, cultural, and personal factors. Interpretation of the results in the context of motivation theory and consumer behavior strengthens the understanding of the dynamics of tourist motivation. The implications of the findings are important for the development of more effective and sustainable tourism strategies, enabling destination managers to design attractive and relevant tourism programs and improve destination marketing.
